Exam Introduction What is the CSCA? The China Undergraduate Admissions Academic Test (CSCA) is a standardized test designed for international students planning to pursue undergraduate degrees in China.
Administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and developed in collaboration with experts from Chinese universities, the CSCA assesses students' language proficiency and academic foundation, helping them better prepare for undergraduate studies in China. CSCA scores are also an important factor in Chinese universities' undergraduate admissions and scholarship evaluations.

Note: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are offered in both Chinese and English. Candidates can choose the language of the exam based on university application requirements.
Exam Dates
The first global CSCA exam will be held on December 21, 2025. Starting in 2026, CSCA will enter its normal operating phase, establishing a fixed exam cycle with five exams held annually in January, March, April, June, and December.
The December, April, and June exams will primarily focus on the Asia-Pacific region, while the January and March exams will have a moderate emphasis on Europe and the United States. This ensures that candidates in different time zones around the world can choose a suitable exam time.
Exam Format
Initially, the exam will primarily be administered online at home, with offline testing centers (either centralized computer-based or paper-based) gradually being established in key student-sourcing countries and regions.
In 2025, CSCA will establish its first offline testing centers in Vietnam and Thailand, completing a comprehensive online and offline testing experience. Additional testing centers are currently under construction in other countries and regions.
Score Information
All CSCA subjects are graded on a 100-point scale. Scores are used as a guide only, and each institution setting its own admissions criteria will be responsible for evaluating the scores based on its program requirements.
The release date of scores varies depending on the exam format. Results for online and offline exams will be released within 7 business days of the exam; results for paper-based exams will be released within 14 business days of the exam.
